Temperature is a critical environmental cue that shapes animal physiology, behavior, survival, and reproduction. Animals continuously sense both external and internal temperatures to maintain thermal homeostasis and adapt to changing environments. Our laboratory investigates the molecular, neuronal, and circuit mechanisms that underlie temperature sensation and thermoregulatory behaviors.
